On 12th of November, 2022, Erfan Firouzi, the Green Leader of The Westminster School, Dubai, was declared the winner at the Global Youth Awards, 2022. His extensive research on animals for the past 8 years and documentaries have gained him a global reputation. His enviable collection of almost a hundred of animals and plant specimens over the years is truly an asset in itself and he makes use of the collection to teach children and adults alike about the threats faced by global biodiversity. With more than 20 online sessions, Erfan has so far reached out to almost 4000 people. His blogs and educational videos are wildly popular. His love for the natural world is an inspiration to millions of people and in particular the younger generation. A video showcasing his passion for the world of science and nature and immense contribution in protecting the natural world was presented on the day of the event at the Camden Club in London UK.
